The chart below provides information about
the purchasing rates of city residents’ coffee and tea in total five cities of
Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart in Australia within the last four
weeks.
Overall, coffee or tea bought at a café had
the highest proportions of drinking habits followed by instant coffee while the
least purchase was made by fresh coffee.
In terms of consumption of coffee or tea at a
café, Melbourne had the highest figures at around 63% following by Hobart and
Sydney’s rate about 62% and 61% respectively, which the gap was pretty close.
Brisbane accounted for a little over 55% and Adelaide was the lowest with
slightly less than 50%.
On the other hand, residents in Hobart and
Brisbane had the highest proportions on instant coffee purchase at a little
under 55% and Adelaide was just closed to 50%. However, Sydney and Melbourne
had the lowest at slightly less than 45%.
The largest proportions of fresh coffee were
Sydney and Melbourne which made up approximately 43%. Hobart was chased by about
37%. Brisbane and Adelaide had the smallest at similarly but approximately 34%.
