Overall, the percentage of city residents who visited a café to drink
or buy coffee or tea in last 4 weeks was the highest, followed by the
percentage of people who purchased instant coffee and residents who bought fresh
coffee in the past one month in 4 cities except Adelaide. Adelaide was the only
city among five cities where people tend to consume instant coffee rather than going
to a café or buy fresh coffee.
When it comes to the percentage of people who went to a café for
coffee or tea in last one month, Melbourne showed the highest rates with around
63%, followed by Hobart (about 62%), Sydney (approximately 61%), Brisbane
(about 56%), and Adelaide accounting less than one half. In the case of city residents
who bought instant coffee in the past 4 weeks, Hobart was the one with the
highest percentage with around 54%, followed by Brisbane (about 53%), Adelaide
(approximately 50%), Melbourne (around 48%), and Sydney (about 46%). Lastly, Sydney
was the city with the most residents who bought fresh coffee in the past one month
with about 44%, followed by Melbourne with around 42%, Hobart (about 37%), Adelaide
(approximately 34%), and Brisbane (about 34%). |
