Some people argues that sharing information freely in science research, business and academic fields is beneficial, but others are against this idea because the information is too valuabe to be shared without any rewards. Both arguments are reasonable to some extent, but I support the ideas that sharing information freely is more benefical for most people.
For sure, every effort must be paid. If you provide useful goods or service to somebody, you get rewards from them and the rewards are money most of time. This should be the same way when you create valuable information and provide it to others. Money is a good insentive and motivation to create information, and when people are paid well for their efforts, they become to be willing to work harder. For the result, science, business and academic world can develop more effectively. That is the reason why many governments over the world impose specific laws to potect intellectual propertiy, and promote ctreators by them.
On the other hand, sharing information freely can promotes science research, business and academic world and boost up them to higher level more easily. When useful information in those filed is shared without payments, people can get and use it more easily, and they can start their work or research from the points or levels where somebody has already done. Without doubt, this will help people create more useful information as saving time and efforts, and also ecourages the inustries to develop faster and effectively.
In conclusion, though, there are some information that should be protected and some creators want money for their had work, I argue that sharing information freely is much more beneficial for humanity in the long term. |
