Many people maintain that the extinction of
various plants and animals is the most important among the environmental
issues, while others argue that there are more crucial ones than the problem. I
will discuss these two different views and suggest my own view.
On the one hand, a number of experts
prioritize the disappearance of various species for two reasons. Firstly, the
loss of them would have detrimental effects on the eco-system and cycle of the
earth. This is because it would hugely change the given environmental
situations so that it may raise more serious issues that even experts have not
imagined before. Secondly, it would a negative influence on the diversity of
species. If human lose unique and vulerable creatures, they never see again
them in the future. It would deprive future generations of the opportunities to
observe and learn them.
On the other hand, others think that core
environmental issues that strongly affect the quality of human's life are more
significant than the other. To begin with, they say that the condition of air
should be coped with quickly as soon as possible, since it is very harmful for
children. In addition, the pollution problem is an urgent issue because it
could play a significant role in constructing social equality. As the pollution
has made water and air dirty, they tend to be a product. Accordingly, the poor
are more likely to go through health problems, while the rich could maintain
their health condition by consuming the healthy goods of water and air.
In conclusion, I think that both opinions
are somewhat reasonable. However, I believe that environment problems related
to human are more crucial than the other. As cutting edge technology such as
eco-friendly transportatons and devices are the essential keys to deal with the
issue in the future, people should be more cared than other species. |
