Your Answer ▼ Sedack In modern society, there always has been social and political issues. While some people think teachers should not share their own opinions about these, others insist that it its advantageous to widen students' perspectives. In this essay, both views and my personal opinion will be discussed.
First of all, some people say that teachers need to expose their personal opinion about social issues to make students get interests about them. If they grow up and become adults, it is inevitable that they should aware what happens in their society. Because they will pay tax, and have power to vote, they will feel all issues are related in their life although it is very trivial. There for, some people think that having an interest as soon as possible is better for students' future.
However, others insist that too early getting interest in political issues could lead students to a bad way. Students are not fully grow up in terms of their identity, and personality, but they are easy to be attracted at kind of stimulating. That is, they could just follow others opinions without deeply thinking about issues and making sure their own opinion. If they make a decision in something related with political issues without their subjective attitude, they could regret about it after because of absence of clear reasons.
In conclusion, some people think students should be exposed to teachers' thoughts on social and political issues to make students having interests early. However I agree about the statement of that it could lead students to confusion in the future because of their immaturity. |
