The pie charts illustrate that diffrence of employment portions between female and male in the UK in 1992.
Overall, It is clear that more female emplyees works at the non-manual areas, which about three-fourths, relatively
almost half of male work at the same areas. It is also noticable that significant static gaps are observed in 'other manual'
and 'clerical or related' sections.
Looking at the charts more closely, Managerial and professional section is the vast majority of male employment which
accounts for 36%. The second highest job portion is craft or similar type job which is 26% in the male employment.
The third highest job is other manual labor is 24%. Combined three sections account for 86% of total jobs. Clerical or
related is the largest portion of female employment which accounts for about ont-third. 'Managerial and professional' and
'craft or similar' is approximately 30% in the female workforces. 'other non-manual' and 'general labourers' took marginal part in both of female and male employemnt which is under 10% to sump up them. |
