Recently, the issue of way to learn about news has become the subject of heated debate. Some people assert that newspaper is one of the best ways learns about news, while other argue otherwise. Personally, I believe that both arguments should be given equal weight. In the following essay, the evidence supporting this contention will be discussed alongside relevant examples. On the one hand, it seems difficult to question the idea that newspaper has positive effect on learning about news. Perhaps the most compelling reason is that newspapers have reliable information which have been verified by publishing company. To be more specific, information from media can make it difficult for people to distinguish right and wrong considering that media can allow every people to write information. Another convincing reason is that if people can read, newspapers enable not only young people but also old people to access about issues. On the other hand, it seems short-sighted to contend that newspapers are more likely to bring positive effect to learn about news than other way. The most oft-cited argument against such a view is that information from media such as internet, social media can allow people to access whatever they want to know. Investing only few minutes enable people to easily find information. Another argument is that media can lead people to share their think thought, which can result people in extent thinking. To exemplify, research conducted by Seoul National University has demonstrated that sharing of thinking well-known as brainstorming benefits from people to learn more issue. In light of the above, I also find these persuasive. In conclusion, it is undeniable that there are a variety of opinion about this topic. However, after considering this matter in a careful manner, it can be concluded that each side of the debate has its strengths, as discussed above. |
