These days, numerous ways of getting information have arised been arisen. While some people say teachers cannot be substituted by other learning sources, I personally think that their acts are no longer significant in modern education.
In modern societies, there are countless ways to find or learn information and knowledge on the Internet. Because most people in the world use the Internet, the vast number of people are connected and can trade information with each other. Thus, huge amounts of information are stacked on the web and new ones are made in every moments. These make people be able to can find everything that what they want to know whenever and wherever they are. As a typical example of the web site YouTube, numerous people upload contents in every fields which provides useful information to the users.
Moreover, more specialized websites than others have been appeared on the Internet. These mean, people's worries about accuracy and reliability of information could be released which are the main reasons of why people needed a teacher in the past. In other words, now, people can find not only typical information but also expertise by themselves. If people gradually get used to find and learn information themselves rather than learn from a teacher, there will be no importance of a teacher.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that teachers are no longer significant in modern education, because the new source of information called Internet which have richness of data, accuracy, and reliability will be the main source of information. |
