Your Answer ▼ Sedack In modern society, there has been a debate about whether having a more younger people than older one is beneficial for countries or not. There are both advantages and disadvantages of that for valid reasons, but I think the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.
When it comes to think about disadvantages of that the number of young adults is larger than older people in elderly's view point, there will be a few job vacancy for them, and that will be confined to chores. However, the more people getting older, the more they could not do physically demanding work. That is, this situation could make elderly will not be able to get a job to earn money for living. In serious case, the government may have to spend enormous budget over expectation. In addition, older people could be isolated from society, and suffer from sole life.
However, these days, the speed of developments in technology is too fast so there always are cutting-edge knowledge and devices in work place. This trend is expected that it will be more accelerated all over the world. In other worlds, people need to always be ready for learning new things and adept in this environment. Therefore, societies will require people who have grown in new environments and who are affordable new type of tasks for development of enterprises and countries. As a result, the capacity of elderly is not sufficient to satisfy societies' requirements, hence including relatively large number of young adults is further more advantageous to nations.
In conclusion, while both opinion has valid reasons, I personally think the disadvantages outweigh the advantages due to the fact that present trend doesn't really need elderly work force. |
