▶ Your Answer :
Hello. I'm writing this letter to enquire about the living in the city. first, let me explain my situation. Recenly, I have been offered a job but it requires me to move in the city that i have never been to. I feel very uncomfortable about living in the city for several reasons.
Firstly, I have bee brought up and I have lived in the suburb for my whole life. So I am not used to living in the city. I need to adjust my life style to fit in the city. Also, there are many disadvantages with living in the city, such as high cost of living, air pollution, noise, high rate of crime, etc.
In these reasons, i need your advice about what it's like living in the city and what I have to do to prepare.
As I mentioned earlier, I am wondering if it is really expensive to live in the city in relation to cost of living. e.g. rental, transport, groceries, etc. Waht is the main difference between living in the city and suburb in terms of cost of living and how do you budget for your cost?
Another questions is that how does traffic, pollution, noise affect your health? as far as Im concerned, I need to hear all the traffic noise from the car, bus or other public transport everyday, and it causes lots of air pollution as well. Is that serious? and how do you manage to handle that unpleasant problem?
Finally, are there amny crimes in the city compared to rural or suburb areas? Many crimes especially related to drinking has happened in the city, providing that there are many clubs and pubs where people can easily get drunk. Have you ever gotte nbothered from that kind of situation so far?
In these reasons, I don't like living in the city but it could be my prejudice. would you possibly answer my questions and reply to this mail please?
thank you for your attention.
regard.
