Your Answer ▼ As the astronomical technology develops, space travel would be available for some time. While some people believe that space tourism could bring positive impacts, I strongly believe that space travel has more drawbacks than the positive points. First of all, let's hypothesize that space travel has been available to normal people through many trials of launch the rockets before the real travel. As the trials would require remarkable budget, the fee of space travel will be very expensive. Furthermore, it has not been done for long. This could lead people who attend the space travel to danger. Although, people who are adventurous would try the space travel, it is same as pledge one's life for uncertain security. This point shows how dangerous and how the opportunity costs occur from choosing the space travel. Second, people might get harmed while traveling the space. It is really worthwhile to see the universe in one's own eyes. On the other hand, when we assume that people come back from the space, they will suffer from terrible pain. For example, about 10 years ago, there was 5 astronauts who went to space. After they came back from the space, all of them complained of pain from their vertebra and knees. How much more lethal would be added to the general people, compared to the trained astronauts? To sum up, while there are some positive points that can be occurred by the space travel, I believe drawbacks could have more negative impacts to people. For these reasons, I believe space tourism is a negative development. |
