It is common belief that music is a crucial method
for people to access different cultures and make it closer between different
generations. In this sense, I agree with this issue to some extent.
To begin with, music is a good opportunity to
access different cultures. This is because a lot of lyrics of music normally
are written by particular languages and includes certain cultures that contain
unique thoughts and values of some countries. For example, many people want to
learn Korean to know accurate meaning of lyrics of Korean music when they like
K-pop music and Korean artists. During that progress, people are naturally interested
in Korean and search and acquire information about Korean. As a result, they
can recognize and are good at Korean culture. Therefore, music is the best way
to know different cultures.
Moreover, music is also a good way to make
different generations closer. This is because people can make a strong bond
with different age groups by sharing the same preference. For instance, people
in the same singer’s fan club understand and sympathize with each other regardless
of age due to sharing the similar tastes. Furthermore, they may not feel the
gap between generations. When people like the same music, they share their
emotions and feelings with each other. By doing so, they are naturally more intimate
and interact with each other. Thus, music allows people constructive
opportunities to make an interaction between the old and the youth.
In conclusion, music can offer people to access
different cultures and a good opportunity to understand and empathize with
different age groups.
