Generally, food/drinks/tobacco are the most popular items in five countries, range from 15 to 32%. Both clothing/footwear and leisure/education constitute only a small percentage, but countries consume more on clothing/footwear, as 6.5% in average, while leisure/education is the least popular, as around 3%.
According to the chart, Turkey and Ireland are the biggest spender on food/drinks/tobacco, as the percentage of the expenditure takes up 32.14% and 28.91%, respectively. Italy spends the highest percentage of expenditure on clothing/footwear as 9.00%, compared to the average of other countries which is around 6.5%. Spain spends the least percentage of expenditure on leisure/education as 1.98%, compared to others whose average is at 3.0%.
Overall, the chart shows how each country can be characterized on consuming item, and how the consumer expenditure is differ depends on items.
