Your Answer ▼ In modern society, teenagers have a desire to become a celebrity. In regard of this issue, I believe social media’s role contributed in making this phenomenon and created rather negative results. To begin with, social media made people more look up into the recent news of the entertainment world with positive perspectives. Most people catch up with current issues of celebrities and by watching their photos, videos they somehow idolize them. For example, many teenagers in korea mimic k-pop singers dance videos and dream of being a singer like them. Also, by watching actors act, they are inclined to practice acting like them. Many adolescents are affected by current news of celebrities provided from media and usually just feel they would like to be one of them. However, I believe that many teenagers who want to become entertainers will have a negative impacts because this career requires a unique abilities that stand out. There are many people who desire to be famous actors or singers in the world. For instance, the entertainment industry in korea is very competitive. Even though one gets the opportunity to have a debut, nobody knows what the turnout would be like. Teens spend so much time in practicing dancing and singing that later in life they will not be able to do any other thing in their life. To sum up, the main cause of younger generation’s desire of becoming a famous entertainer is due to many recent news about celebrities in social media. However, it is clear that there are more negative results, like failures in making their career, than positive results.
