Overall, the sales of Fairtrade-labelled coffee increased in each country over the five-years period. On the contrary, while more Fairtrade-labelled bananas were sold in the UK, Switzerland, and Denmark in 2004 than in 1999, the sales of bananas dropped in Belgium and Sweden.
Looking at the tables more closely, one can see that Fairtrade-labelled coffee was sold the most in Switzerland and the sales was three million euros in 1999.
