When students
major in cooking and baking, it is very
important to learn skills about them and to be an expert about them. But should
they only focus on those subjects rather than other regular subjects in high
school? The My answer is no.
First of
all, learning histories and culture from different countries is very important
when it comes to cooking and baking. For
example, there are some regions that were eating
beafs beef and porks pork is forbidden. If a chef didn't learn about those
facts in high school, no matter how fancy and delicious their meals of those meats are, it will be very disrespectful
for people in those regions. Therefore, those subjects are as important as
their skills of cooking and baking.
Another
reason for the importance of other regular subjects when it comes to
cooking and baking, is that science theories help cooking or baking a meal in a
more efficient way, In the case of baking, for example, temperature
measurements are very important to bake a bread more deliciously and chewy. The
facts of opposite types of sources, such as water and oil, also helps to cook foods in a more efficient way.
Most of the
students, not only when it comes to baking and cooking, but also in other
majors, tend to think that only focusing on the major subject is the best way
to be successful. But they miss the importance of other regular subjects that
we learn in high school are important for those majors.
