There
is a disagreement about the main environmental problem. Some people claim that
the loss of particular flora and fauna is the most serious problem. However,
other people assert that there are more urgent problems in the environmental
issue. In this essay, I will discuss both views and explain my opinion on this
issue.
To
begin with, some people believe that the main environmental problem in society
is the loss of certain species of plants and animals. This is because the extinction
of particular wildlife leads to the destruction of the ecosystem. If some flora
and fauna vanish, some animals who consume those plants or animals do not also
exist. For example, if some insects disappear in the nature, some frogs who eat
as staple food also disappear. It is clearly shown that this phenomenon prompt
the vicious circle in the food chain. Therefore, as the loss of certain animals
and plants can destroy the ecosystem, this problem is a significant
environmental problem which people in the present face.
On
the other hand, there are those who feel that there are more urgent problems
relative environmental issues in modern society. They believe pollution
problems such as air pollution and water pollution are more crucial problems.
This is because people nowadays suffer from various kinds of diseases, living
surrounded by detrimental circumstances. For instance, air pollution such as micro
dust is a destructive problem in modern society. As a result, people struggle with
respiratory diseases and illnesses related to the immune system. Thus,
environmental pollutions are the main problem in modern society.
In
conclusion, although the extinction of particular wildlife is serious problems,
I strongly believe that environmental pollutions are the most destructive problem.
This is because this issue is directly related to people’s lives and health.
