In general, people in America tend to consume the most amount of sodium and saturated fat in dinner time. However, it was for snack to be taken the biggest amount of sugar.
According to charts, in breakfast, citizens of the US take almost equally amount of nutrients: 14%(sodium), 16%(saturated fat), again 16%(added sugar). Meanwhile, people tend to consume more proportion of them for lunch, standing at 29% of all sodium consumed for one day, 26% of total saturated fat per day, and 19% of added sugar of a whole day. Moreover, the amounts of each nutrient people have at dinner consist of relatively higher proportion of total in all sectors. The ratio of sodium intaken at dinner was 43%, the one of saturated fat was 37%, and when it comes to added sugar, dinner makes up 23%. While dinner takes up the highest proportion of the total in sodium and saturated fat, only added sugar was consumed the higher amount(42%) for snack. |
