According
to the chart, the urban population of 5 countries had an upward trend for each
year between 1950 and 2030, while the highest population based in urban area was
shown in 2030 which showed more than 50 Percentage in all given countries respectively.
It is also observed that North America stood at the largest proportion of people
living in urban area throughout the decades. In particular, the figures for
North America exceeded the average percentage of world in 1950, 2007 and 2030.
On the other hand, Africa and Asia were less than the average population during
80-years although two countries all experienced an increase with the passage of
time which was shown by double-fold increases in Africa and Asia with 37% and
41% from 1950 to 2007. In the meantime, Latin America Caribbean was 2 times higher
than the figure for that in 1950 at 76%.
Overall,
it is seen that the percentage of urban population in the world is set to
increase to 60% in 2030 with a steady upward tendency over the given period.
