Prevention is better than cure, and most public money is being spent on public health. (얘는 그 앞의 친구랑 전혀 다른 얘기라서, 같은 문장에 들어가기에는 조금 무리가 있습니다.) Today, one major disease can have a serious impact in life, and it is important to keep the balance of lifestyle. People can think that the government should focus on the treatment, but I believe that prevention still needs more support. In this essay, I will discuss the reasons in detail.
Actually, it has been easier than before to make people have interests in prevention of health because of the advance in education. Educated people are more likely to concern health education as well, and it can be effective if the government targets them when they publicly begin the health promotion. With the information that they provide, they might be able to distinguish what is good and bad to adopt for their own health conditions.
Also, it can be efficient to focus more on prevention of illness than the treatment because the treatment takes not just money but also time of patients. For example, if they are seriously sick, they might have to invest their time and money only for cure. However, if they already made some efforts to regularly have healthy diets regularly, they might be able to prevent further symptoms. If they live with unhealthy habits, they may have to use more energy.
In conclusion, public money should be used more on preventing illness than treating it. As any serious conditions have not been made, even minimum efforts on education and diets can help people who are in an unhealthy lifestyle. |
