The charts show the average proportion of
sodium, saturated fat, and added sugar, all of which should careful not to eat
too much in each meal in the USA.
Overall, it is clear that sodium and
saturated fat consist of largest portion in dinner. In addition, people consume
added sugar when they eat snacks.
Looking at the pie charts more closely, it
is apparent that except for snacks, the three types of nutrients percentage are
highest in dinner time, 43 percent of sodium, 37 percent of saturated, and 23
percent of added sugar. Although added sugar is included in snacks more, which
are 42 percent.
Moreover, proportion of sodium illustrates
a similar trend with portion of saturated fat. They show 15 percent in
breakfast, approximately 27 percent in lunch, and around 40 percent in dinner.
In case of added sugar, except largest portion of snacks it makes up each
around 20 percent in typical three meals.
