Young people these days tend to be less polite and respectful than in the past. What are the causes of this? How can this problem be solved?
In recent years, it is one of the heated issues that young people tend to less polite and respectful than in the past. There are many reasons but the most major thing is that spending less time with their parents due to the busy society. This problem should be resolved in terms of the government and individuals.
One of the main reasons is the fact that children cannot spend their time with parents compared with the past. The tendency of the society has been changed that both moms and dads should work and children who has to be learned manners from their parents spent time by themselves. It is quite important to them because kids usually learn how to respect and being polite in their ages by parents. After all, teenagers lose the chance since they do not have time with the parents.
To solve this problems, there are several approaches. First of all, it can be solved in terms of the government. The government should encourage to teach manners and etiquette at the schools to fill up the students’ shortage of the sense of propriety. In Korea, there are many additional courses about the manner in the primary schools so that children can learn how to respect others. Moreover, in terms of individuals, the parents should teach the fundamental things to their kids such as table manners.
To sum up, since the young people have less time to learn about being polite, they are less respectful than in the past. The government should promote put in the additional courses in the curriculum and individuals such as parents also make efforts at home.
