Overall, it is clear that the most of
British students became more interested in learning other languages over the 10
years, increasing slightly.
In detail, the British students who was bilingual
in addition to English was merely 10% and could speak other foreign languages,
not given ones was 15% by 2000. However, the students who answered equally by
2010 were 15% and 20% respectively. In the other case was the category of no other
language which was 30% in the given first year, and the respond recorded 35% by
2010.
Meanwhile, in 2000, Spanish was the predominant
language to the British students which accounted 20%, but only half percentage
of students was able to speak the language in 2010. There was the greatest gap
between 2000 and 2010 in Spanish. The second most language that they could was
