There has been a controversial issue over whether or not retired people need to live in retirement communities. Although some people claim that there should be drawbacks in their life by changing an environment, others point out that such changes encourage them to start their new life. In my opinion, I would firmly argue that older people can get advantages when they live in retirement communities.
Now a few people assert that living in Silvertown for their parents or older people who live in Silvertown makes them lonely and elevates a rate of depression. However, for retired people, they prefer to move to their own communities such as a retirement apartment after they retire. In their society, a bond of sympathy develops between them. Not only they share their own thoughts about life, but also they feel comfortable. Besides, older people living in Silvertown find satisfaction by making new relationships.
Despite older people going through a new environment to live for the rest of their lives, most of them do not want to return to their own home where they lived before. Retired people have relatively much more than when they were workers on upbringing who have to raise their children. For this reason, older people ought to take a time by themselves, but there are not enough tasks or appropriate measures in our society. In case of older people who have mobility difficulties, they wait for other members of their family until they finish their work because they are not able to go out without any help.
In short, both opponents and proponents have debated over this disputable issue and both sides seem to have good reasons to support their argument. Nonetheless, from my perspective, I would be confident that a challenge which is living in retirement communities for older people promotes their new life and important opportunities.
