It is true that people have saved information in books. However, modern people are more willing to store it on the Internet. Personally, I firmly believe that this phenomenon derives diverse merits on our lives for a couple of significant reasons.
To begin with, by utilizing the Internet, people no longer consider time and a great deal of effort, which they used to do. Books have faults that storage space is too small that we cannot save huge amounts of data, and these are too heavy to carry every time. However, the internet can save a myriad of information rapidly and effectively. Furthermore, being able to save data with just one click, we do not have to do demanding writing on papers. For example, these days, people are reluctant to get to libraries to find encyclopedias for searching definitions or words, while they are fond of browsing them by entering Google website.
On top of that, the Internet’s information is eternal, which means that its records remain forever, and if it backup, then we can use it whenever and wherever we want. Whereas, old and outdated books are prone to loose their fonts’ clear, making reader difficult to fully understand. For instance, if the contents of ancient books are already stored in online, we do not have to examine closely the books’ faint words and vanishing images. This shows that internet information is permanent.
In conclusion, I am convinced that the merits of the Internet in terms of storing surpass the drawbacks of it because it makes people’s lives more convenience.
