The bar graph indicates how many days an employee
lost because of getting injured during the work. It includes information from five
countries over three time periods, between 1991 and 2005.
In general, it is clear that China has the
highest records of lost days in average, whereas German workers lost the fewest
days.
On the first period, from 1991 to 1995, Chinese
workers lost approximately 6 days in average due to accidents. In contrast, German,
American and Korean workers experienced the loss of around 3 days. During the next
five years, Chinese workers still maintained its first place with around 9
days. It was followed by Brazil of just over 5 days, which decreased compared
to the record of past five years. German workers lost fewer days than the past
of slightly over 2.5 days in average.
Over the five-year period starting form
2001, Chinese workers experienced the biggest number of lost days, reaching up
to 10 days in average. Except for Germany, other countries number of days lost
has ascended.
