The
bar graph shows the trend of coffee consumption in five Australian
cities.
Overall,
it is clear that the category of going to a cafe for coffee or tea accounts for
the biggest proportion in every city except for Adelaide, while buying fresh
coffee makes up the smallest percentage in all of the cities.
Looking
at the graph more closely, one can see that people who live in Sydney and
Melbourne consume more amount of fresh coffee than other people who live in
Brisbane, Adelaide, and Hobart. Moreover, the rates of going to a cafe for
coffee or tea are the highest as well in these two cities. On the other hand,
in Brisbane and Adelaide, the proportions of both buying fresh coffee and going
to a cafe are lower than other cities in survey. Especially, in Adelaide, it is notable compared to other cities that
the proportion of the people who buy instant coffee account for about 50
percent which is almost same with the percentage of going to a cafe.
To
sum up, according to this survey, going to a cafe for coffee or tea is the most
popular drinking habit in every city, whereas buying fresh coffee is far less
popular.
