Some people say that Ebooks and modern
technology will totally replace traditional newspaper and magazines. To what
extent do you agree or disagree?
There is a disagreement regarding the issue
of whether or not E-books and cutting-edge technology will replace traditional
newspapers and magazines. Some people agree that E-books will utterly
substitute traditional newspapers and magazines while others disagree with it. In
my opinion, I support that traditional books will be turning into E-books.
Firstly, electronic books give students more
benefits than traditional newspapers and magazines because they can store a lot
of books and help students read books efficiently. For example, when students
go to school, they should prepare a bag that can carry many textbooks related
to their classes. It is a pretty big burden for students to move. However, E-books
can be stored into just a device with the size of a single hand. Furthermore, they
offer convenient functions like dictionary and highlight, so students are able
to read books more efficiently by using E-books.
Second, it is beneficial to conserve and
recover the environment by using E-books. For instance, since traditional
newspapers and magazines require a lot of paper, so many trees are being cut
down and it results in devastating forests. However, if electronic books
totally replace traditional books, we do not need to destroy our nature to
publish books. As a result, many forests could be preserved and a lot of
habitats where wild animals can live will be recovered.
In conclusion, E-books and modern
technology can offer plentiful rooms for books to be stored and convenient
functions such as dictionary and highlight. On top of that, people can preserve
and recover the environment by using electronic books. Therefore, I insist that
E-books will substitute for traditional books.
