The given bar chart illustrates how many
Internet users were in Greece, Denmark, and Canada, alongside the world average from 1998 to 2013, at five-year intervals.
As an overall trend, it is clear that the figures
of all three different countries and the world average considerably increased during
the given period. In addition, whereas the statistics of Denmark and Canada were higher than the other figures, Greece had fewer users, which was close to the world average especially for the year 1998.
A more detailed look at the given bar chart reveals that Canada account for about 25 thousand users in 1998, which was a little higher than the figure of Denmark. However, after 2003, these figures were reversed and maintained this trend at the end of the period in question. In 1998, it is noticeable that the total number of world average was slightly bigger than that of Greece, with 1 thousand, however, Greece surpassed the number of world average following year.
When it comes to the year between 2003 and
2013, there was a gap of nearly 10 thousand between Denmark and Canada. Although
the total number of Internet users in Denmark was almost threefold that of world
average for the year 2003, this gap between the two numbers became narrow after 2003. Likewise, the world average only took up about one-sixth of that of
Canada for the same year, continuing to increase at 35 thousand users until 2013.
