Some
people assert that it is good for college students to have part-time jobs.
To
what extent do you agree or disagree?
Opinions
are divided over merits and disadvantages for college students having part-time
jobs. Some people believe that having part-time jobs can be a deterrent for
colleges students to study, as they should spend time and energy earning money
at work. However, I do not support this idea with two valid reasons.
(제가 해드린 것처럼, 문단을 나눌 때에는 엔터키를 두 번 쳐주시면 됩니다.)
To
begin with, students are able to learn valuable lessons that they couldn't (줄임말은 풀어써주셔야 합니다.) learn in classrooms or library through lectures. To be specific, having
part-time jobs allow students to learn how to set up a plan to accomplish a/their goal
while doing various duties and spend time wisely. For example, when I was university
student, I learned how to be responsible and punctual by working as a barista
at the cafe that I have worked for 2 years as I had to should prepare for opening the
store every morning. It is clear that having a part-time job will make students become
more mature as adults.
On
top of that, students who have part-time job experience are more likely to get
full-time jobs after graduation. These days, getting hired is a big concern for
students, since a competition for getting full-time jobs is more fierce fiercer than ever.
However, by experiencing various part-time jobs, students can not only know
their aptitudes and abilities, but also have competitive edge over other applicants
for job positions. For instance, my cousin has developed successful career as a
professional chef although she's (여기랑) younger than me, as she knew what she's (여기도 마찬가지입니다.) good
at, doing a series of part-time jobs when she was in high school.
To
sum up, I believe that having part-time jobs will give a lot of benefits to
college students in a personal as well as a career perspective.
