One of the consequences of improved medical care
is that people are living longer and life expectancy is increasing. Do you
think the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?
Thanks to advanced medical system, individuals
are receiving so much benefits such as living longer lives, however, other
people believe that there are also demerits because of this such as an
increasing the cost of medical treatment. I personally believe that those
advantages of medical developments could outweigh the disadvantages.
To begin with, it is true that as a result of
medical advancements, individuals have to afford more medical fee than in the
past and it can be dauting for them. As a matter of a fact that medical system
especially operated by private institution try to make more profits as they
invested enormous capital and put a lot of collective efforts with scientists and
researchers. Moreover, individuals tend to depend on medical care whenever they
are not in good health condition and it could bring over-treatments on their health
life. For example, in South Korea which has one of the most prominent medical
technologies over the world, a majority of Koreans are incline to visit to
clinic with even small bound. Some people especially elderlies have too much
anxiety and worries on their health and this is because they like to account on
the advanced medical system by checking up with doctors and medical staff.
On the other hand, it is undeniable truth that
medical developments brought a lot of benefits on the society. Not only
increased life expectancy but also expanded the quality of life for people. Nowadays,
individuals can predict and prepare for their health before they get fatal
diseases such as a cancer, a heart disease and even an obesity. To maintain
health, they can always go see a doctor when they have health concerns and able
to get medical advices. By their body keeping healthy, they definitely can have
better quality of life and entertain themselves. Besides, the pain and trouble
might cause by a lot of illness, should be reduced or gone due to the medical
advancements.
In conclusion, although developed medical care
could make people in a bad position financially and mentally at some level,
positive effects absolutely outweigh the negative ones because massive public
can have much better life than they ever experienced.
