Your Answer ▼ As time passes by, outdated objects, specifically languages, attires, and food are vanishing because they are no longer valued as much as the past. It is noteworthy that conventional languages are dying by virtue of disregard and indifference. Therefore, some people assert that minor languages need to be preserved at all cost, however, others maintain that disappearance of outdated vocabularies and words is inevitable. Personally, I believe that minor languages should be conserved even if we do not use them it. To begin with, nowadays, individuals are neglecting the value of history because they are overwhelmed by their life. However, if we keep discarding our cultures such as food, traditional festivals, and attires, the local people and children will lose their roots of their mindsets regarding who they are and who their ancestors are the ancestors were. Specifically, traditional languages are the foundation of human evolution. Countries have reasons that they are keen to preserve their own unique languages, even the minor ones. Also, children lose their chances to broaden their horizon by learning minor words which are fundamental of history. (부연설명 없이 이렇게 한 줄만 적으실 바에는 안 적는 게 낫습니다.) Furthermore, many people admired from outmoded culture. For example, archaic words and current words combine to which create a new folk song and one of a kind language. On the other hand, some pragmatic individuals assert that it is irrevocable to revive outdated languages, and it is part of nature and evolution. They also say that useless vocabularies should be disappearㄷㅇ and follow globalization. Currently, students have innumerable subjectㄴ to learn which is all complicated and difficult. Therefore, children do not have to learn antique words. For example, in Korea, students are almost obligated to learn English because it is a common language which helps to improve one’s life and adapt to globalization. Thus, people do not have adequate time to obtain minor languages. Furthermore, new words are devised every second, and if we do not stay on track, people could be outdated and retarded by the trend. Considering all these factors, using money to conserve archaic languages seems meaningless. In conclusion, as we live in a fast altering world, people have different opinions regarding conserving minor languages. Thus, preserving outmoded languages possess numerous advantages and disadvantages. In my point of view, saving outdated words and vocabularies should be encouraged because it is our unique history and the root of our values and tradition.
