The number of students can be one of the
factors which give beneficial and negative impacts on the quality of the language
class. Personally, I steadfastly believe the small class have more
opportunities for the students to get more profits.
Some argue that the number of students in
the language class is not important for a couple of significant reasons. First
of all, being proficient at using language is required for people to preview
and review the lesson. How much they do these tasks continuously is even more important
than the number of students. Secondly, even if there would numerous attendees, it
could be advantageous for the students because of the group study. For example,
each member of the group can estimate and revise member’s weakness and
feedback, making them even better.
However, others believe that the language
classes should be comprised of the small number of students because of
efficiency. There are several things which student should care about such as
vocabulary, intonation as well as pronunciation. When a lesson is held in the small
class, there must be more time for a teacher to intensively manage their students.
For instance, in a class which has 5 attendees and is run in 2 hours, a teacher
can feedback in form of one-on-one class for at least 20 minutes to each
student. This can maximize the student’s improved abilities in a short term.
In conclusion, even though the number of
students in the language class can affect the efficiency of the class, it is
undeniable that the less number of the students enroll the lesson, the more
careful management they can get. |
