Nowadays, the number of young adults exceed the number of
older people in some countries. Personally,
I believe that this situation has more benefits when it comes to labor issue and
reproduction, which are essential things for a country’s exsistance.
One of the reasons why having more young people in a country
is good is that young adults are physically active. Although people tend to
live much longer compared compare to the past, it is true that generally, younger people
are more capable of working physically. For example, there must be construction
jobs in a country. If there are enough young people who can work hard, the construction
can be done earlier compared to the same work only with older workers.
Additionally, young people are more likely to be healthier so that they recover
faster. It can definitely effect the country positively because less money for national
health coverage would be needed even if they get injured (get hurt도 되긴 합니다.) hurt during the physical work.
In addition, it is a scientific fact that young adults can
reproduce easily. In other words, the more older people in the population, the
less babies will be born in the future. (반대로 적으시면 됩니다. 즉, 인구에 젊은층의 비중이 높으면 높을수록~~으로 가시면 돼요.) There has been an issue in Korea that the
population is not growing by virtue of the low birth rate. This is a critical
problem because it means the number of potential tax-payers are decreasing,
which can lead the public economy to collapse eventually. It is obvious that
having a large number of younger people who have no difficulties to reproduce must
be helpful to keep the country exsist.
In conclusion, youngers are more likely to be better not
only in physical activities like work, but also in reproducing. Therefore, the benefits
of having more young people in the population predominate the disadvantages.
