However, there is a more persuasive argument that youngster is adequate for those positions because they are more flexible to deal with sudden circumstances and they have much greater experience internationally.
On the other hand, people who are supporting elder people to be part of the government, argue about counterparts because they judge young people are not able to make wise decisions than experienced politicians. For example, many older people around me, usually have the prejudice that new politicians don't have much experience to solve the current social problems. This is mainly because sometimes older people are looking down on young politicians based on their own experience which is the hardship from the Korean war. Also, if there was a mayoral election, most of my grandparents' generation pick older candidates, not younger ones.
Nevertheless, I support the idea that a young leader is appropriate to be part of the government for running the country. This is mainly because most young people are fairly educated internationally nowadays. For instance, in the past, there were not many opportunities to study abroad like this global world. In contrast, there are tons of chances to study abroad and learn international studies not limited only domestic knowledge. Therefore, I strongly believe that young people can be improved by getting through those kinds of international and cooperative experience with a variety of future politicians from many other countries.
To sum up, while it is apparent that older people are more proper than young people to governing the country, it is undeniable that youngsters could be a great talent for administering the government. |
