The pie charts show the proportion of American online music service users divided into five age groups in 2013,2015 and 2017.
Overall, it is clear that people in ages from 20 to 49 used online music services the most. Paricularly the percentage of users in 20s saw a significant increase over the 4-year period.
Looking at the chart more closely, one can see that, in the year 2013, the group aged 40 to 49 stands out as the most heaviest user category, followed by group aged 30 to 39, 20 to 29 and older than 49. Teenager group saw the lowest usage proportion. In 2015, the music service was most widely used by people in 30s. The figure of people aged 40 to 49 and 20 to 29 were close behind at 26 percent each. Meanwhile, the other age groups percentages were decreased by 1 percentage points from its 2013 shares. By the end of the period, the percentage of people in 20s became first at 34 percent, overtaking that of group aged 30 to 39 which accounted for 24 percent of the total. Also noticeable things were a considerable rise in teenagers' group and a fall in group aged 40 to 49.
