Some people believe that having CCTVs in high crime areas helps to reduce crimes. In this essay, I will discuss both advantages and disadvantages regarding this issue.

To begin with, having CCTVs especially in dangerous areas has a positive effect on finding evidences when sufficient proofs are needed. Not only it delivers objective and accurate supporting statement, but also play a role to bridge between crimes and victims to find out what are the causes. For instance, people and police can gather critical information on crimes  by analyzing CCTVs content precisely. Some experts on cars they provide crucial information of what kind of the car and the series number by just looking at it. Through this important information, police could find a suspect by gathering information of car owners.

On the one hand, people can think that having CCTVs is infringe upon their privacy even though it is installed in dangerous areas. As there are many CCTVs in every angle, people are exposed to be seen wherever they go. As an illustration, over half of the people said in the Internet poll survey that they are unhappy to be opened in the CCTVs even though it helps to reduce making crimes. Sometimes, people even do not know that they are taken to CCTVs.

To sum up, CCTVs is one of the essential tool to these days to reduce dangerous crimes. However, we need to find a right way to moderate both advantages and disadvantages of using CCTVs in proper using.
