Music has indeed been receiving much attention in the children’s education area related to their mental, behavioral, and intelligence development. some pedologists in a field of children’s behaviour and mental health consider that teaching how to play an instrument to children is imperative, and this essay will argue why learning the instrument in childhood is essential. To begin with, the idea that children should take musical instrument lessons is integral because of the great benefits that music and the musical instrument will bring. Not to mention children’s use of imagination and creativity in making music, cognitive ability and mental agility can be also improved by reading music and playing the musical instrument with their hands. Learning the musical instrument at a time of paramount importance in shaping the personality and intelligence of children has tremendously positive effects on their growth, and it is worth providing these opportunities for all children. Further analysis would make it clear that playing instrument for children as a part of an ensemble also have various advantages on forming their characteristics. From being a member of an ensemble, children will attain a chance to develop a sense of cooperation, teamwork and patience. Besides that, by taking a certain position in a group, children can learn the way of taking responsibility; all of these factors will eventually support children to be a good member in the society once they enter their adolescence and adulthood.
