Overall, it is evident that car is mostly used by commuters following by bus then train in 1970. However, the the number of commuters using bus showed downward trend whilst that of commuters using car and train illustrated the significant increase.
Looking at the graph closely, it commenced in 1970 as cars were mostly used by about 5 millions commuters and shows a significant increase over 50 years. Moreover, the similar trend was seen in the number of commuters using train but only difference was that there was lesser users than car.
In contrast, although the bus was used more than train by 4 millions commuters in 1970, as time goes commuters tend to use train more from 2015. Also, the bus was only vehicle that saw a moderate decrease in number of commuters by 1 million in 2030 compared to 1970. |
