The bar
chart below compares the coffee and team purchase and consumption trend in five
Australian cities.
In
general, the percentage of residents who bought fresh coffee in last 4 weeks
was the lowest in all five cities while the radio of people who went to a cafe for
coffee or tea was comparably high during the same period.
In Sydney
and Melbourne, the radio of people who preferred fresh and instant coffee in
last 4 weeks showed similar figures with around 42% to 48%. However, in the
remaining three cities, instant coffee was more popular than fresh coffee. In
Brisbane, about 35% of residents purchased fresh coffee while around 53% people
bought the instant one. Similar trends were shown in Adelaide and Hobart as about 35% and 38%
people chosen fresh coffee in each city yet approximately 50% and 55% purchased
instant one.
It is
notable that more than the half of the residents went to a cafe for coffee or
tea during the last month. There was an exception as the ratio of citizens in
Adelaide was slightly lower than 50%. Seeing the detailed figures in Sydney,
Melbourne and Hobart, the proportions demonstrated about 61%, 64% and 63% each.
In Brisbane, over 55% of residents responded that they dropped by a cafe for
coffee or tea.
