Nowadays, people are increasingly not
interested in who their neighbours are (얘의 경우 '틀린' 건 아니긴 한데, increasingly showing less interest to who their~~ 이런 식으로 가는 게 더 자연스럽습니다.), and even worse some people do not know
who lives next door. There are some causes behind this concern, and people
should make an effort to alleviate this concern by taking several steps.
There are a couple of reasons why an
increasing number of people residing in cities do not have a close relationship
with their neighbours. The most serious reason might be that people have less
opportunities to interact with their neighbours as they feel that they do not
need their neighbours’ help anymore. In the past, people needed others’ help as
their work could not cannot be done by themselves, which encouraged them to interact more
with people in their neighbourhood. However, due to the development of
technology, people do not need their neighbours’ help anymore as they can achieve
their tasks with the help of machines.
Fortunately, there are several steps
that individuals and the government can take to promote a healthy relationship
between neighbours today. Firstly, individuals should make an effort to get
close to people living next door. This could be done by giving warm greetings
to each other whenever they see or they could invite them over for dinner as it
would help them to grow comfortable by catching up while having a meal
together. Moreover, the government should offer people a place where they people can
meet more time and harmonize together. For example, the government could
conduct an event such as free market in which anyone can join and have fun.
In conclusion, it is clear that there
are various reasons why people do not know their neighbours well these days and
this can be alleviated by individuals’ effort and the government should play
important role in connecting people together. |
