Raising children under harsh rules is traditional way to dealing with their own kids regardless of country. Parents do make such arduous rules believing that it would help children to be more successful in future in any possible means. While others could assert that putting too much pressure to their children would mean that they would loss their own thoughts and ingenious souls, I firmly agree with this idea.
First and foremost, rules that were made by parents are similar to what is like in real life. In other words, the rules are not completely invalid. Children will have to deal with laws in near future. For example, not crossing road when it is red light and not running around the house when there are people or objects in house would be similar concepts. Thus, other such rules would be applicable to mundane situations. As children have learnt not only what they should do and not do inside of their house but also outside, they would be easier to fit in society as they grow up. This would lead them to be successful as fitting in society means a lot to people.
Second of all, rules will make sure that what is right and wrong to the children. If the children were not taught what was justice and injustice, they would be get in trouble when they become adults. They might even act impolitely or wrong which might hurt their reputations. Getting bad reputations would mean that it would be harder to be succeed as becoming famous can be success to other people.
Last but not least, rules will help the children to be more responsible for their behaviours. They would be punished if they did not act well and will be praised when they did act nicely. Therefore, this habit will be stay in their mind unconsciously and they will be more responsible whatever they do when they are fully grown compare to those of who did not have any rules in their house. The children who had harsh rules would be more committed in their business, relationship and own life. This would result in having more money or friends which can be defined as success to some people.
To recapitalize, parents should make strict guidelines for their children if they want them to be succeed in their later lives. Rules would help the children to fit in the society, to be people who can judge what is right and wrong, and to be more responsible in terms of what they are doing. These all can mean success to people. |
