Some children find some school subjects difficult (for example maths or philosophy), so these subjects should be optional rather than compulsory. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Schools teach their students many subjects including math, language and art. All students take same class but students feel differently about each subject. Some students are good at math but some students are bad. Thus, some people think some difficult subjects like math or philosophy should be optional. However, I agree with the argument that students have to learn these difficult subjects at school and this essay will provide the reasons.
Frist of all, students have to try to study various subjects including difficult subjects as possible as they can when they are young. Young students do not know exactly what they like and want. Even though they feel difficult to study a specific subject, they might like it later. If they hate it continuously, they can choose department that is not related to it at university. Also, there are a lot of fields in math or science. Some students might be interested in some fields, not all of the subject. Thus, it is not good for students who have to experience many things to exclude some subjects as optional class.
Furthermore, the more difficult and complicate the study is, the more it makes students think. Some people think that what we learn at school is useless in life. However, it is no matter that some subjects such as philosophy or math is helpful for living. While studying these, students have to agonize continuously to solve the problems and can learn how to think and solve problems wisely. They can use brain and develop intelligence through this activity.
In conclusion, school have to provide many classes including not only interesting subjects but difficult ones. Students have a choice after joining a university so they should take classes compulsorily to find their interest and what they want to be in the future.
