Nowadays, most of interviews are conducted is conducting prior to hiring. However, this is not the most practical way to know whether a certain candidate is perfect for the position. Therefore, I believe that other methods such as practical test would be the most suitable method of choosing the employees.
Even though there are several ways of defining the suitable interviewee, the current way of doing the interview is not appropriate. The main reason for this is that, the interview questions are limited. Usually, a company is asking the general questions about the candidate, companies will gather limited information about the candidate. They may need other factors about the candidates characteristics, communication skills, responsibilities, work abilities and diligent to see whether they are fit for the company. Because the current interview questions are is only interested in the past experiences, a company will never be able to see the potential value of the person. If a company is doing alternative approaches such as giving a the practical test, they will have more success in finding the perfect candidate. (Need better transition) Finding the perfect candidate will be difficult by conducting an the interview. If the company will take the practical tests are given during the interview, it will show the personality of candidates. This will be more beneficial for the company because they can tell whether this personality will be useful or not. The practical test should be is conducted by giving the real work so that the company can make a valuable judgment on candidate's capacity. For example, dealing with harsh customers as a part of test to the candidates will be evaluated on the candidates' responses by the way they are approaching to the customer. In conclusion, the current way of selecting the candidate is not a practical way because it does not show the potential value of employees. Therefore, the company could have involved with the practical tests for their interview to see how the certain person will react on the situation to see whether that person is suitable for the company.
