of budget that a children’s charity in the USA used and earned in 2016.
Overall, the income in 2016 was slightly bigger than the expenditures, showing
that the biggest resources was the food donated by a substantial number of
people and the most spending was program services for the children’s benefit.
As clearly seen from the first chart regarding receiving resources,
86.6% of total income was a donated food, followed by community contributions
and program revenue with the figure of 10.4% and 2.2% respectively. There were
other routes of income such as government grants and investment income, but the total figures were less than 0.5%. In
spending chart, the biggest portion was the program services which were accounted
for 95.8% and fundraising and management and general showed 2.6% and 1.6%
respectively.
