The chart below gives information about the number of people
who moved to urban areas in three different countries from 2000 to near future.
Overall, every country on the given chart showed an upward trend.
Compared to other two countries, the growth rate of migrants
was low in Indonesia. At the start of the chart, the number of people who moved
to the city was 10 million, and then it increased to approximately 15 million. In
2010, it was 20 million and it kept slightly rising over to 2020, which was 30 million.
However, after 2020, it is expected to be maintained.
The figures of other two countries were bigger than that of
Indonesia. Even though the figures of three countries were quite similar in
2000. It showed a different phase since 2010. The number of migrants was 30 million
and 10 million in 2005 for Russia and Iran respectively, but it dramatically
climbed to around 40 million and 35 million. Especially, in 2015, the figures
soared to 70 million for Russia, 55 million for Iran. After that year, the
number of migrants were same in 2020. Based on figures so far, it will grow to
95 million for Iran, 88 million for Russia.
