Companies nowadays hire sports players as models and they advertise products. However, this trend could be considered as a double-edged sword. In this essay, I will identify some examples regarding its pros and cons.
Distinctly, there are worthwhile points that sportsmen being a model for advertising products. Initially, they are able to gain popularity not only as a sport star but one of those celebrities. To be specific, it would encourage them as well as their teams to be sponsored by major companies and invested to play in better environent. Moreover, this also could promote them to be world class athletes. Besides this, individuals who work in sport industies tend to retire at their early ages. Therefore, this allows them to make a living after leaving sport fields or when they are on breaks.
However, with respect to involve a different field that is not related to sports, there are several downsides that we should take a look. Initially, the general public are of the opinon that sportmen should only focus on their expertised fields. For example, if they advertise a low quality of commodities, it will likely affect their career and this will accelerate their reputation to be risk. Additionally, this leads to lose their popularity and speciality.
To sum up, utilizing players could bring several profits since they tend to be internationally famous. However, disadvantages seem to be fetal as much as its benefits. However, if they wisely make up thier mind, this would be greatly advantageous for both team and a sole individual.
