ordinary meals of breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in the USA.
Overall,
it is clearly seen that sodium and saturated fat are contained the most in dinner while Added sugar is put the most
in snacks. On the other hand, one can find out that there are relatively less
proportion of all these three nutrients in breakfast.
Looking at the charts more closely, in breakfast,
Americans eat sodium at 14% and saturated fat and Added sugar at 16% equally.
In lunch, they have sodium the most at 29%, followed by saturated fat at 26%
and 19% of Added sugar. Meanwhile, in dinner, all the percentage of nutrients
are much larger than other meals except for snacks. Typical dinner contains 43%
sodium, 37% saturated fat and 23% Added
sugar. The Added sugar is found the most as amount of 42% in snacks, which this
figure is more than other nutrients combine.
