The bar chart illustrates the donation rate of English between 1990 to 2010 of different age groups.
Overall, it seems that the British donated to charity more in the year 1990 than in 2010.
In 1990, more than 40% of the 36-50 age group donated to the charity. This is the highest percentage made in 1990. On the other hand, the age group of 18-25 donated the least, by only 17% of the age group contributed approximately.
By 2010, these figures changed. The donation rate of the 36-50 age group declined to 35%. The age group of 51-65 however, rose from 35% to right below 40%, which makes them the most contributed group in 2010.
Age group above 65 made less increase compared to this, but still, they experienced growth of about 2.5%.
Also, the 18-25 age group made a dramatic drop from 17% in 1990 to 7% in 2010 approximately.
Over time, the donation rate of the age group below 50 fell, while more contribution was made for the group above age 50.
