Cities are filled with many new excitements and constructions. In this regard, it is often argued that the government should develop more houses and roads. However, some people think that existing buildings should be respected than them and restored. Personally, I also agree with them and will discuss the reasons in this essay.
Actually, old buildings in cities are often considered to be valuable because of its originality, and it (여기의 it 은 originality를 지칭하면 그대로 it으로 가시면 되는데, 만약에 building를 지칭했다면 이에 맞춰 수의 통일이 필요합니다.) should be preserved by maintaining. If the government in many countries does not make an effort to do so, all the nations will have the same new but empty buildings, and many people will not be able to feel any difference from them. Residents of the future might not be able to know the history of their cities, and tourists might not also enjoy it like the local people.
Also, historical buildings can have monetary value. Many tourists visit different cities from their own’s in foreign countries to experience another culture. This culture is based on the history and flourished around the concrete buildings by people. This is the collective effort of the whole town, and because of this, travellers might be able to feel more safe and welcoming in old towns and cities. Thus, more old establishments should be saved in cities. (이 문단의 경우 1. 맨 첫 번째 Monetary와 이후 이어지는 내용이 연결이 안 되며, 2. 이후 내용의 경우도 본론1과 겹치는 감이 있습니다.)
In conclusion, the government should focus more on restoring old buildings than building new houses and roads. This is because the history of the architectures makes their cities unique and valuable. |
